5 Things You Can Do Right Now To Support Abortion Access

6/26/2022

Earlier this week, SCOTUS ended Roe v. Wade, overturning the constitutional right to abortion that had been in place since 1973.

Immediately after the decision was announced, access to abortions was aggressively restricted and, in some cases, even eliminated in many states throughout the country.

State laws are changing daily, view this interactive map for up-to-date details and information about your state’s current restrictions/laws.

However, there are still plenty of amazing organizations fighting for accessible, legal, and safe abortions. These organizations work tirelessly to ensure individuals from every community are able to access the healthcare they need.

In addition to voicing your opinion at a rally (find a local demonstration here), commit to donating your money or time in support of one of these worthy causes.

Abortions are healthcare. Please share this list widely.

Here are 5 things you can do right now to support abortion access:

1) Donate To A Local Abortion Fund

  • Consider donating to funds in states where access has been restricted (map)

  • Or donate to the National Network of Abortion Funds

  • These funds aid in the financial and logistical support of individuals needing abortions and are fundamental in the fight for equitable access.

2) Support Independent Abortion Clinics Via Keep Our Clinics

  • Nearly 60% of abortions are performed at independent clinics nationwide. These clinics need financial support to continue offering safe and accessible services to the communities they serve.

  • Donate to Keep Our Clinics to support independent providers and help ensure they have the resources they need to remain in operation.

3) Support Your Local Planned Parenthood

4) Volunteer At A Local Independent Clinic

5) Contact Your Elected Officials

  • Click here for a list of contacts for all of your elected officials from the President to your local council members, based on your address.

  • Contact them and tell them abortions are healthcare and they must fight to keep abortions safe and legal.
