White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt Calls Amazon’s Reported Plan to List Tariff Costs

Amazon says a possible strategy to list tariff costs next to products on their website was one of many ideas not to be approved by leadership. The company insists it won’t be implemented.

Speculation about the potential plan swirled online and the strategy was addressed today by White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt, who called it a “hostile and political act”— and went on to suggest Amazon had “partnered with a Chinese propaganda arm.”
