Trans Black Hawk Pilot Falsely Identified in D.C. Crash Speaks Out

Jo Ellis, a transgender soldier and Black Hawk pilot, has spoken out after being incorrectly named as one of the helicopter pilots killed in the D.C.collision with an American Airlines plane.

Ellis’ name and picture began spreading online after President Trump blamed diversity initiatives for the crash, claiming DEI had “lowered standards” around hiring air traffic controllers.

The false story was even shared by Ann Coulter, adding to the rumors.

Ellis posted a video to her social media and wrote on her Facebook, “Some craziness has happened on the internet and I’m being named as one of the pilots of the DC crash… Please report any accounts or posts you see. It’s insulting to the victims and families of those lost and they deserve better than this BS from the bots and trolls of the internet.”
