Texas Lawmaker Proposes to Partner in State Capitol on First Day of Legislative Session

In January, State Representative Venton Jones, one of the first Black and openly gay men to serve in the Texas Legislature, proposed to his partner, Gregory Scott Jr., immediately after being sworn in at the Capitol in Austin.
