In Honor of MLK, Bernice A. King Tribute

Repost from @berniceaking
This isn’t the anniversary of “the day we lost King.” This is the day, 57 years ago, that you were murdered in the midst of a courageous, strategic work to eradicate poverty, racism, and militarism. Today, many try to strengthen their own unjust stances by misusing your words; others erroneously declare that your nonviolent mindset and methods are not strong enough.

Today, I believe that your mindset and methods for social change are more relevant and necessary than ever. Today, you still inspire me to hope and to help humans be more humane.

Today, Daddy, I miss you.
